These earrings are cast from a branch of slow-growing pink fan coral, washed up by a stormy Cornish sea. The organic forms are unique in their nature, demonstrating how the fan has adapted to its habitat in order to survive.
Like its namesake ‘gorgonian’, coral evokes images of a hard, rough exterior but with further exploration, we realise the protection and safety this daughter of the sea offers to those it shares its waters with.
